FG heightens travel ban for public officials due to COVID-19

The Nigerian Government has barred all government officials, including public and civil servants, from leaving the shores of the country. This decision is coming after a closed-door meeting between President Buhari and his task force officials which was held in Abuja on Tuesday morning.


Boss Mustapha who is the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and chairman of the committee, revealed the ban is now effective until further notice.

The Federal Government had rolled out a dedicated Presidential Task Force to mitigate the spread of the deadly virus in Nigeria. The SGF, while choosing the committee on Tuesday in Abuja, said it has been giving six months only to finish its assignment.

This is information is coming after the country confirmed the third case of Coronavirus.
