R. kelly faces new five federal count charges

American music star, R. Kelly is now facing new counts of charges in New York which are racketeering and extra counts of violating the Mann Act.

The fallen star has been accused of coercing and trafficking women and underage girls across state lines to engage in illegal sexual activity.

Kelly has pleaded not guilty to these new charges in New York and other jurisdictions.

A New York attorney for the American musician, Douglas Anton, revealed in a statement, while accursing blame to the R.Kelly’s alleged victim.

“How can an alleged victim ‘forget’ such things?” he wrote. “Or… maybe… these so-called victims are not victims at all, but only women who have bribed to talk Kelly down, or even peer-pressured after so many years and are now coming to bad mouth relationships they freely and voluntarily engaged in, should now, in the #metoo era, be classified as ‘bad’ or ‘abusive,’ and they are continually seeking to add facts, and even when they lie with their pathetic story they always make sure it’s well told and very appealing to the human ears”.

Kelly’s trial date has been set tentatively for September 2020.
