Special adviser to the President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Mr. Femi Adesina has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari was not attacked when he visited Kebbi state.
According to the special adviser, the President was in the state for the official launching of the Argungu Fishing and Cultural Festival. Femi Adesina, revealed in a statement a few hours ago, stating what initially happened.
The President took a round trip to inspect rice pyramids and take photos with farmers and a young man was overexcited to see our President. “Out of quick excitement, the young man attempted to come close to the President which not be taken likely by the Presidential security team. The young man was quickly apprehended, and he voiced out that he should be granted permission to greet his President.
“Now, gullible Nigerians and naysayers are saying something different entirely and that the video truly indicated an attempted attack on the President’s life.“Deceptive Nigerians will always twist things to give a negative side of an incident. but at the end of it all, they will obviously gain nothing, Adesina added.

Earlier, President Mohammadu Buhari revealed that the reignition of the festival after 11 years of suspension was a sure sign of improved security in the North and Nigeria.
The President also promised that his office will retain investments in security infrastructure to enhance cultural tourism and open more investment opportunities in the entertainment industry.
