The Italian demands £9m in compensation and has taken this legal battle in the court. The three-person panel will rule on the matter as the case is now being heard in private at an undisclosed location.

However, the settlement is still possible, even though the two parties could not agree on the terms during the dispute that has been going on for eight months straight.

Conte’s lawyers demand their client be paid for the final year of his three-season deal with the Blues, estimated around £9 million unless he takes another job while Chelsea representatives insist the manager’s behaviour during the second year at Stamford Bridge put him in breach of his contract.
