The 2019–21 CAF Nations League will be the first edition of the CAF Nations League. It will be held from August 2019 until August 2021, alongside with the UEFA Nations League, which started in September of last year & CONCACAF Nations League which will start in September 2019.

Same as UEFA NL, CAF NL will be held in a Classification Stages format, with 4 Leagues A, B, C&D.

* Cameroon
* Cape Verde
* DR Congo
* Egypt
* Ghana
* Morocco
* Mali
* Nigeria
* Senegal
* Tunisia
The League A winner will also play a Super Cup match against the winner of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

* Benin

* Gabon
* Guinea
* South Africa
* Uganda
* Zambia

8 Teams qualify for League C

* Angola
* Guinea-Bissau
* Kenya
* Madagascar
* Mauritania

8 Teams qualify for League D
* Comoros
* Ethiopia
* Liberia
* Libya
* Malawi
* Seychelles
* Sierra Leone
* Tanzania.
