Body recovered from the airplane carrying Sala

A body has been recovered from the ruins of the airplane that was carrying late Argentina-born pro soccer player Emiliano Sala and the pilot David Ibbotson, our source, the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) revealed.

our source did not disclose the identity of the body.

Emiliano Sala, 28, was on his way from Nantes in western France on Jan. 21 to make his debut for Premier League team Cardiff City when the plane vanished into thin air.

The remainings of the airplane were found on Sunday following a privately-funded underwater search. Two seat cushions were discovered on the French coast that obviously belonged to the aircraft.

A body was very visible inside when the wreckage was on the seabed near Guernsey, air accident investigators had revealed on Monday.

The body was “successfully recovered” but attempts to recover the remains of the airplane was unsuccessful, the AAIB said in a statement on Wednesday. The overall operation was brought to an end due to “poor weather conditions,” the agency said.
