The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has affirmed that the procedure for the removing previous Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke from the United Kingdom has started.
Acting Spokesman of the commission, Tony Orilade said there have been calls from various quarters for the removal of the previous priest more than a few charges of inappropriateness against her.
As indicated by Orilade, EFCC’s Operations Department has made introduction to the Legal Department to begin the procedure, and that procedure has started. He, in any case, said that the activity must be handled through the workplace of the Attorney-General of the Federation, clarifying that it was not something the commission would start and finish up individually.
“It is progressing. Inside the following couple of weeks, the degree to which we have gone will be made known to the general population. It’s anything but a crisp case; it’s anything but a new request of that is simply being investigated; the entire procedure is an aggregate bundle. This removal is only a part of Diezani’s examination and initiation of preliminary,” he said.
In 2017, a Federal High Court in Lagos requested the last relinquishment of N7.6 billion asserted plunder recuperated from the previous clergyman to the Federal Government.
