Monday Deadline Day Transfer


Everton has reached an agreement with Barcelona to sign Colombia defender Yerry Mina, 23, for £28.5m on a five-year deal.

Everton has told Manchester United they will take 28-year-old England centre-back Chris Smalling or Sweden defender Victor Lindelof, 24, if the two clubs cannot agree on a deal for Argentina defender Marcos Rojo, 28. 

Manchester United are preparing to make a bid for Leicester centre-back Harry Maguire, 25, and know they will have to pay a world record fee for the England international.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have made contact with Bayern Munich to sign 29-year-old Germany defender Jerome Boateng, who is valued at £44.5m.

Calum Chambers is set to have a medical at Fulham tomorrow. He’ll join on a season-long loan.

Leicester City has signed Rachid Ghezzal from AS Monado for £12m on a 4-year contract.

Chelsea is favourites to sign £75m-rated Crystal Palace and Ivory Coast winger Wilfried Zaha, 25 after Tottenham pulled out. 

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has suggested 26-year-old keeper Thibaut Courtois, who has been linked with Real Madrid, will be sold if he wants to leave the club.

Tottenham is the only club in both the Premier League and this season’s Champions League to have failed to complete an incoming transfer this summer.

Blackburn Rovers have signed Adam Armstrong from Newcastle United for £1.75m + £1.25m add-ons on a 4-year contract.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey’s deal with the club has one year left and his representatives have denied the 27-year-old has asked for £300,000-a-week in negotiations over a new contract. 

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is interested in Celta Vigo midfielder Stanislav Lobotka, who has a £31m release clause in his contract.  

Willian on his future at Chelsea: “I always told him [Sarri] I’m really happy playing for Chelsea. I never talk about me leaving the club.”
