Youtube Took Down 8 Million Videos In Just 3 Months

YouTube is by and by attempting to tidy up its platform.

On Monday, the Google-claimed organization said it brought down in excess of 8 million videos amongst October and December for damaging its community guidelines. Most of the recordings were spam or individuals endeavoring to transfer “adult content.”

The data was incorporated into YouTube’s first quarterly report how it’s implementing its community guidelines.

“This customary update will help demonstrate the advance we’re making in expelling violative content from our platform,” the video-sharing website said in a blog post.

As indicated by the report, PCs distinguish the majority of the videos that end up being taken down. It said 6.7 million videos were first flagged for survey by machines, not humans. Of those, 76% were brought down before getting any views from users.

YouTube has faced complaints from commentators and advertisers who say the organization experiences difficulty handling offensive videos on its site.
