Adrien Broner is waiting to find out if criminal charges will be taken against him from an incident which occurred at a shopping mall in Atlanta back in February, the former boxing champion is facing a lawsuit the moment.
According to TMZ, Kaila Crews, the woman who accused Broner of swiping his hands across [her] private parts outside a store at the Lenox Square shopping center, is suing Broner for sexual battery. The lawsuit says Broner was never permitted to “touch any part of her body” at any point and that Crews has gone through emotional distress from the alleged assault. And now she wants payment from Broner for emotional and physical damage.
Investigators are still trying to gather evidence to arrive at a conclusion if Broner will be criminally charged. A video that surfaced on social media appeared to show Broner being escorted out of the shopping center by police following the incident.
Adrien Broner, who is set to fight Jessie Vargas on April 21, is not a newcomer in legal cases in recent years. He was arraigned in October of 2016 after he was accused of choking a waitress at a Las Vegas nightclub. He was sentenced to jail for 10 days in April of 2016 for a parole violation, and later on settled a dispute which emanated from an assault and battery allegation at a bowling alley.
