The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities has suspended its 3 months old strike.
The Chairman of the committee, Mr Samson Ugwuoke, made the announcement while addressing journalists in Abuja.
The Non-Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities (NASUU) is made up of Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), and the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT).
Mr Ugwuoke disclosed that the decision to suspend the strike was due to an agreement reached with the Federal Government that within a period of 5 weeks their demands would be implemented.
According to him, all the decision takes effect from today, Thursday, March 15.
