The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said that any candidate who cannot be identified through bio-metrics will be bared from taking the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
JAMB’s head of Media and Information Department, Dr Fabian Benjamin, who made the disclosure in Lagos over the weekend said that the measure was to ensure the eligibility of candidates and reduce cases of impersonation.
This was at the instance of some reported cases in examination centers where candidates could not be identified through JAMB’s electronic system to gain access into exam halls.
According to Dr Benjamin, the boards personnel are fully on ground to ensure a smooth conduct of the examination and attend to any technical hitch in all the centers.
The 2018 UTME commenced last Friday in 605 centers across the country and will end on Saturday.
