Dana Airline and other aviation stakeholders have stated that the Federal Government’s directives to audit its operations over recent incidents that border on safety is a welcome development.
Recall that the Federal Government has given the directives for the audit following the incident of the airline’s aircraft overshooting the runway at the Port Harcourt Airport and the collapse of its emergency door on landing at the Abuja Airport.
Preliminary reports as released by the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) had indicated that during the incident at the Port Harcourt Airport, the runway was wet due to the heavy downpour that day.
In a statement, the airline said that it welcomed the audit by the Federal Government pledging to work with the team to demonstrate its commitment not just to the public but also to flying safe.
