Russian Revolution

On March 8, 1917, exactly 100 years ago today, a massive revolution erupted in Russia. Food shortages, harsh working conditions and a shrinking economy made the country a living hell for the Russian people.

As a result of the harsh living conditions, wild riots broke out in Petrograd and a week later, the Russian leader, Nicholas II abdicated his throne, thus paving the way for the communists to take over the country.
