INEC Says 7 Million PVCs Yet to be Collected


The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has stated that over 7 million permanent voters cards (PVCs) are yet to be collected by their owners nationwide.

INEC National Commissioner in charge of North-central, Alhaji Mohammed Haruna, made the disclosure in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, will assessing the progress made in the continued voter registration in the state.

He stressed that INEC would do everything possible to ensure that all the PVCs were collected before the 2019 general election.

Alhaji Mohammed therefore appealed on all those that have registered since the commencement of the exercise to check at the center where they registered to collect their cards.

In his own submissions, an electoral commissioner in Ilorin West, Alhaji Abu Useni, appealed to the commission to deploy more capturing machines to ease the continuing registration exercise in the area.
