Kano State Government to Sink N35 Billion into Provision of Portable Water Supply

The Kano State Government has concluded plans to spend N35 billion for the provision of portable water in the state.

The Kano State Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Hajia Aisha Muhammad Bello, made the revelation at a budget breakdown in Kano.

The Commissioner said that the move is to ensure the provision of portable water to people in rural ares as well as for energy and industrial development.

Hajia Bello explained that over N800 million will be used for the purchase of water treatment components for integrated water resources development.

She added that additional N150 million will be for the construction of two mini water reservoir and N300 million for hydro power station.
