Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has called for collaboration between Benue and Plateau State governments to overcome the challenges of the incessant Fulani herdsmen attacks in the two states.
Gov Ortom made the call when he received the delegation from Plateau State Government who paid him condolence visit over the recent killing of the indigenes of Benue by Fulani herdsmen.
The Governor who pointed out that both Benue and Plateau States, like many othe states, have been at the receiving end of the mindless killings and destruction of property by Fulani herdsmen, said tht the two states must come together to find a lasting solution.
He stressed that ranching which is the globally accepted practice in rearing livestock must be embraced by all as a solution to the crisis and the recurring clash between farmers and herdsmen.
