President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday, Wednesday, December 6, granted pardon to 500 inmates in Kano State prisons.
The President who is currently on a 2-day working visit to Kano State, it was reported, freed the inmates in demonstration of his support for the reformation agenda of the Nigerian prison service.
Among the President’s engagements yesterday was the inauguration of two general and one specialist hospitals built by the Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
He will today, Wednesday, December 7, hold a meeting with elders and traditional rulers in Kano State at the Coronation Hall located at the Government House Kano, as well as inaugurate a fertilizer blending plant constructed by the state government.
The President is scheduled to return to Abuja after a meeting with All Progressive Congress (APC) members in the state later today after which he will return to Abuja to resume his official duties tomorrow.
