Gov Ambode Reiterates Commitment to Security of Lives and Property in Lagos


The Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, yesterday, Monday, November 27 received Commanders of Armed Forces formations in the State at the Government House, Alausa, Ikeja.

The army chiefs which included the General Officer Commanding 81 Division, Lagos, Maj.-Gen. Peter Dauke and the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Logistics Command, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Ibrahim Yahaya Command, assured the governor that there was no cause for alarm over security especially in the during and after the Christmas celebration.

Governor Ambode on his part expressed appreciated for the security agencies which he said have been cooperating with the state government to ensure safety of lives and property in Lagos State.


The Governor who donated some surveillance equipment to the military at the occasion of the visit, said that security of lives and property remains his primary responsibility and that he would not relent in ensuring that residents of the state are safe not only during festive seasons but at all times.
