Ortom Must Go’, Benue Youth Group Insists

Ahead of the 2019 elections in Nigeria, a Benue State youth group, the Benue Hopeful 2019, has sworn to send the state governor, Mr. Sammuel Ortom parking by voting him out of office.

The youth group in a statement jointly signed by its chairman, Terhemen Bem and Secretary, Ochai Oguche, and made available to newsmen in Jos, Plateau State, claimed that Governor Ortom has performed very poorly in office.

They therefore expressed their support for Comrade Richard Gbamwuan whom they urged to contest for the governorship seat of the their state in the forthcoming election.

The statement stated as follows –

“We are here in Jos in search of better representation in Benue State. We are a concerned youth group yearning for a better Benue State; our association is not a political group, we are not sponsored by anyone.

Governor Ortom doesn’t deserve re-election. Our people are dying of hunger due to non-payment of salaries. Benue people are suffering untold hardship; our parents have withdrawn their children from schools because they can’t pay school fees.”
