The Lagos State Internal Revenue Service has locked 13 hotels, event centers and other businesses in Lagos for non payment of tax.
According to the Director, Legal Services, Lagos State Internal Revenue Service, Mr Niyi Alade, the 13 locked businesses owed the state government N427 million in tax arrears. He therefore urged them to live up to their responsibility and pay up what they owe.
He also advised other businesses to pay their tax on time in order not to attract the wrath of the government which he said would stop at nothing in its drive to collect whatever is owed the government.
