Google is today celebrating the 87th birth anniversary of the globally affirmed father of modern African literature, late Professor Chinua Achebe (1930-2013).
The internet giant has in that regard put up an image of the literary giant in its Google Doodle which is a special alterable logo on its homepage intended to celebrate holidays, events, achievements and people.
Late Professor Achebe was born in November 16, 1930, in Ogidi, Anambra State, South-East Nigeria.
His novel Things Fall Apart, written in 1958, remains the most widely read books in modern African literature.
