Hearing on IPOB Lawsuit against Federal Government resumes Today

Hearing on the lawsuit filed by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) against the Federal Government of Nigeria challenging its proscription and designation as a terrorist organisation resumes today at the Federal High Court, Abuja.

In a statement to newsmen yesterday, IPOB’s lawyer, Bar. Maxwell Opara said that the members of the organisation do not bear arms hence it is wrong to designate them as terrorist organisation or proscribe the group.

Many have described as laughable the proscription of IPOB and tagging them terrorist organisation while Fulani herdsmen who have been killing almost on a daily basis now across Nigeria are allowed to continue their bloody business unhindered.
