Well aware that Nigeria is a religious country, a senior member of the Kenyan parliament, Dr. Susan Musyoka, has reportedly appealed to a faith-based academic group, the Association of Brotherhood Academic Scholars (ABAS) with international headquarters in Calabar, Cross River State, to visit and offer prayers for her country.
Dr. Musyoka, who is also the Director of The Susan Musyoka Foundation, said her country needed fervent prayers in these times of great division and socio-political tension compounded by the just-concluded re-run presidential election.
In response to the Kenyan’s request, the President Emeritus of ABAS, Prof. David Irefin, who is the Dean of the Department of Economics of the Federal University, Lokoja, assured that the group would honor the invitation.
