All has been set for the visit of the Liberian President, Mrs. Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, to Owerri, the Imo State capital, today, Novermber 9.
According to the Director General of Rochas Okorocha Foundation, Mrs. Uloma Nwosu, the Liberian President will visit the Rochas Okorocha Foundation on invitation because she shared in the foundation’s ideal to focus attention on the plight of the homeless, orphaned, abandoned, abused and indigent African children.
Nwosu explained that Johnson-Sirleaf would, among other things, pay a visit to the Rochas Foundation College of Africa where she would interact with five Liberian children who are among the pioneer students of the school.
It is also being speculated that the Libarian President would also in the course of the visit unveil a statue in her honor erected by Governor Rochas Okorocha who has recently faced severe criticism by Imo State workers who accuse him of wasting money raising statues of foreign heads of state while their salaries run into months in arrears.
