Afenifere, a front-line Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, has berated the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for inviting their son and former Director-General of National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Mr. Ayodele Oke and his wife to face interrogation over billions of naira and dollars found in their Ikoyi apartment, while failing to equally invite the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal to equally face his own corruption charges.
Recall that former SGF, Babachir Lawal, who was indicted by the Senate and the panel headed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who probed the corruption allegation leveled against him.
In a statement signed yesterday by its spokesman, Mr. Yinka Odumakin, the Afenifere group said its attention had been drawn to the invitation extended by the EFCC to Oke while Lawal was delibrately left out.
However, the EFCC has come up with a claim that it has set up a crack team to probe the fraud allegation against Lawal.
