Military’s Attack on IPOB: South-East Governors Forum Set Up 7-Man Committee

Following the recent clash between the Nigerian Army and the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) members at the country home of the leader of the group in Umuahia, Abia State, the South-East Governors’ Forum has set-up a 7- man committee to investigate the bloody incident.

Mr Michael Udah, who is the Director of Media and Communications of the South-East Governors’ Forum, in a statement made earlier today, Tuesday, September 12, the committee was expected to submit its report during the forum’s meeting scheduled for Friday, September 15.

He explained that the commitee was set-up to proffer lasting solutions to the such problem and to prevent future occurrence adding that the governors were consulting with relevant stakeholders in the zone including the military to ensure clarity of positions.
