After Crushing Defeat, Andy Uba Says He Has Not Left APC

Following his crushing defeat by 42-year-old Dr Tony Nwoye at the All Progressive Congress (APC) Anambra Governorship election primaries, Senator Andy Uba has come out to counter claims that he had left the party because of his loss.

Recall that there was a wide speculation after the APC primary that Senator Uba has dumped the APC for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Dr. Uba who is currently representing Anambra South Senatorial District made the denial while addressing newsmen at his country home in Uga, Anambra state.

Also in a statement issued by Senator Uba’s media aide, Joseph Itazi, the senator reiterated that he was still a staunch member of the APC despite the loss of the party governorship primary.

The statement read in parts –

“Let’s put the record straight, I have no intention of leaving our great party APC for another party.

I have always supported the party, so please people should stop spreading false news that I am planning to defect to another party.

I am still a member of APC.”
