Imohimi Edgar appointed as New Commissioner of Police for Lagos State


Following his recent promotion by the Police Service Commission, Imohimi Edgar has been appointed as Commissioner in charge of the Lagos State Police Command by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris. ‎

Imohimi Edgar, before his promotion, had served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge-of Operations, in Lagos State.

He joined the Nigeria Police Force, as a cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police, on February 2, 1986, and had served in a number of commands and formations in different capacities.

CP Imohimi Edgar graduated in 1984 from the University of Jos where he studied Art and later bagged a Master degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Lagos in 2004.
