How a Chinese Referee Pulled a Fast One on Football Fans

A Chinese referee has pulled a fast one!
According to Hangzhou Greentown Chengdu Economic Daily, the referee in question abruptly ended a China League One reserve match before time because he feared he might lose his flight.
It was reported that the official left the soccer game which took place last weekend, because the area’s nearest airport only had one daily service of his planned route hence he slashed the time of the match in order not to to be late to catch his flight.

The referee thus allowed the first half of the match to run for 40 minutes and stopped the second half at 38 minutes to the consternation of the fans.

The Chinese Football Association has since launched an investigation into the incident which has generated attention in the country especially among football lovers.
