Man Sentenced To Death In Osun State For Stealing N3,420

An Osun State High Court ‎in Osogbo on Wednesday condemned a 40-year-old man, Kayode Adedeji, to death by hanging for burglarizing a lady of N3,420 on April 25, 2009.

Arraigning counsel from the state service of justice, Elisabeth Alabi, had told the court that Mr. Adedeji ransacked one Omowumi Adebayo at Bolorunduro region in Ilesa, armed with a blade at midnight. The indictment additionally asserted that the thief likewise had different perilous weapons amid his assault on Mrs. Adebayo’s home.

Adedeji was said to have fled the scene of the burglary yet was trailed and captured by a few individuals from the Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, in the territory.
