IPOB, MASSOB Sit-AT-Home Order To Honor Fallen Heroes – Gov. Okorocha

The Executive Governor of Imo State, Chief Rochas Anayo Okorocha has said that the May 30th sit-at home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, to their supporters is not to create crisis but to pay respect to their fallen heroes.

Governor Okorocha who decried the drums of violence and hate speeches from some quarters of the country called for peace and unity among Nigerians. He said the Igbos are peace loving people and will continue to live in peace and unity with their brothers and sisters from other parts of the country.

The Governor who spoke at a media chat with some journalists in Owerri earlier today, Wednesday 14th  June, urged all well meaning Nigerians to join hands to uphold peace and unity maintaining that recent occurrences were disturbing hence the need for concerted efforts for the  people to unite for the common good of all.
