Actor Adam West, widely known as ‘The Bright Knight’ for playing the role of the Batman in the TV series of the same tittle in the 1960s has passed.
According to his family statement today, Saturday June 10, Mr. West, aged 88, died after a short battle with Leukemia.
Acording to the statement, Mr. West had always seen himself as ‘The Bright Knight’ and had aspired to make a positive impact on his fans’ lives. For the bereaved family, Mr. West would always be their hero.
In the course of an illustrious carrier that spanned six decades, Mr. West worked on film, on stage, as well as a voice-over artist.
Remarkably, in a 1986 interview with a media outfit, Mr. West revealed that the success of Batman was a double-edged sward for it made it impossible for him to get a role elsewhere. He therefore groomed himself to become a sort after voice-over artist.
