Islamic State Claims Iranian Terror Attacks

The Islamic state group has in a message posted through its Aamaq News Agency, claimed its fighters were behind the twin attacks earlier today at the Iranian parliament and the shrine of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini where two security guards were killed and 30 people reportedly injured.

According to reports, today’s incident marks the first attack in Iran to be claimed by the extremist Islamic State group which has been at war with Iranian allies in Syria and Iraq.

Assailants armed with Kalashnikov rifles had this morning stormed the parliament building where one attacker later blew himself up while a session was going on inside. It is said the attackers wore female attires to beat security.
