The Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has yesterday, on the course of a two-day working visit to Cross River State, been conferred with a chieftaincy title by the Obong of Calabar, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V. The tittle, Ada Idaha Ke Efik Eburutu, one of the highest traditional titles of the Efik Kingdomon, was conferred on the Acting President at the Palace of the Obong in Calabar.
Obong Abasi Otu V used the occasion to call on the Federal Government to fulfill all the campaign promises it made to the masses during elections. He equally called for unity of purpose by the ruling class for effective national development.
Expressing his appreciation on the honor bestowed on his by the title, the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo stressed the need for a united Nigeria pointing out that the country is great because of its large size.
Meanwhile, the visiting Acting President has already commissioned a number of projects like the garment factory. He praised the state governor, Prof. Ben Ayade, for his efforts in transforming the state into an industrial hub of Africa.
