What Smoking does to You

Do you know that the human lungs are like sponges with millions of tiny air sacks to transfer oxygen? And for the cigarette smoker, every puff damages the sacs making it harder and harder to breathe.

When the air sacs are completely damaged due to prolonged smoking, the chronic smoker can not breathe anymore and there will be complications.

Take a look at the picture above. The lungs on the left belong to a cigarette smoker while the ones on the right belong to a nonsmoker.

Now, the question is, “which one of the lungs would you rather have?”

A quick check revealed that globally, around 4 million people die annually from smoking.
