The governor of Imo State, Chief Rochas Anayo Okorocha has on Tuesday, 30th May dissolved his cabinet.
By this excercise, the entire state’s executive council and 27 local government transition committee executives have been relieved of their appointment.
However, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, the Secretary to the state government, chairmen and members of statutory commissions such as Imo State Electoral Commission (ISEC), Civil Service Commission, as well as the local government service commission are not affected.
In a statement by the Principal Secretary to the governor, Pascal Obi, all former members of the executive council are to hand over to the permanent secretaries or the most senior director in their ministries.
Governor Rochas Okorocha deeply appreciate the invaluable contributions by the affected council members and wishes them well in their future endeavors, the statement added.
