Biafra: IPOB orders a stay at home

The Independent People of Biafra, IPOB, has issued a stay at home directive to its teeming supporters especially in the South-Eastern and South-Southern states in solidarity with their demand for a separate state of Biafra.

The stay at home which is to commence on Tuesday 30th May is being rumored to be a cover for mass protest for pro-Biafran groups like IPOB, Biafra Independent Movement (BIM), the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and other affiliated groups.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian police has issued a warning that it would crack down on any group bent at fermenting trouble and disturbing the public peace. The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris Kpotum has ensured the protection of lives and property of citizen urging that people should go about their normal business.
